I have become one of "THOSE" moms

Clara celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten today at school. Being a teacher, I promised to never be one of those moms that does a project for their children...but I did it.

The project was to create something for her to wear with 100 of something on it. We threw out several ideas and things that could be done easily. Then she said "I want a shirt with 100 hearts on it." Ok. Soooo, we started our weekend by cutting out 100 hearts in various sizes and fabrics to put onto a shirt. I soon found out how tedious this was going to be, but it was going to be done...by me. Obvioulsy Clara can't sew and it wasn't until the shirt was done that a friend of mine said, just stamp the hearts on the shirt with paint. Now, that would have been a project she could have done.

Any way, the shirt came out cute with pink, brown, and cheetah patterned hearts sewed on (with no-sew) in groups of ten. We had fun counting them and counting by 10s. Here is my cute kindergartener with her 100 hearts - sure to melt your heart.
